A perennial herb with thin rhizomes,
deeply channelled green leaves and
3-angular stems, spikelets pale brown
in bottle-brush like racemes up to
lin. long on slender 3-&ngular pedicels
-els clustered in an umbel at the
apex of a 2ft. long peduncle. Local
in bush clumps of Cordia gharaf-
Lober% glabra-Sericomopsis hildebra-
ndtii-Calyptrotheca taitensis with
Chloris roxburghiana on an orange-
brown sandy loam.
