BIG SAGEBRUSH subsp. tridentata (det. J.D. Morefield, December 2021) WHITE MOUNTAINS: mouth of Morris Creek canyon, 2.2 air miles N36°E of Black Warrior Mine, 3.2 air miles N47°W of Boundary Peak, Benton Valley - Owens Valley watershed. Locally common to dominant in drainage bottoms and roadsides. Margin of riparian strip on granitic alluvium sloping 10°NW in canyon bottom, with Piftus monophylla, Populus fremontii, Ericameria nauseosa, Rosa woodsii, Linanthus pungens, etc. Achenes glabrous.
