WHITE MOUNTAINS: basalt foothills at north end of Deep Springs Valley, 2.5 air miles
N5°W of Deep Springs College, Deep Springs Valley watershed. Sporadic in rocky places,
especially after warm-season rains. Blocky basalt talus sloping 20°S, with Ericameria cooperi,
Menodora spinescens, Hilaria jamesii, Artemisia spinescens, Ephedra nevadensis, Tetradymia
axillaris, Grayia spinosa, etc. Sprawling perennial with wiry stems.
