straight cylindrical bole, height 6 ft.,
d.b.h. 20 inches. Bark brown flaking
off in patches; under red, mottled;
inner shading from red to pale pink;
sap milky. Wood dark straw; heartwood
dark red. Leaves light green. Buds
green.
