Tien Shan in Urumqi River gorge, approx. 75 Ion (air) southeast
of Urumqi, 8 km southwest of main Glacier Research Station.
Small canyon with Picea schrenkiana, Caragana jubata, Betula,
Salix, Sorbus, Lonicera, etc.
Altitude: 2400-2600 meters. Coordinates: 43°14'N, 87°05'E.
