Habit etc. Densely tufted perennial grass, procumbent,
branched culms, stilt roots at lower nodes. Culms tough,
woody, Florefefe pale green to buff. ±	18” of culgs lying on
soil, flowering heads twisting erect from there.
Habitatln open savanna-Y/oodlahd, in fairly dense
swathe, under Julbernar&ia globiflora, Pterocarpus angolensis
Erkthrophleum africanum, Burkea afrlcana, Diospyros batoeana.
