Habitat:
Mixed dipterocarp forest, associates include Shorea,
Myrtaceae, Euphorbiaceae, Rubiaceae. Red clay soil.
Field Char:
Shrub 3 m tall. Bark reddish-brown. Twigs peeling.
Leaves green, fleshy. Pedicel violet and green.
Calyx cup shaped with spiny scales, dark violet.
Corolla violet to pale blue, fleshy. Anthers bright
yellow. Style violet at base, pale yellow at apex.
