East of camn along bank of Sungai Ella and environs. 0°37'S 112°15'E Alt: 290 m Habitat: Mixed dipterocarp forest, associates include Shorea, Myrtaceae, Euphorbiaceae, Rubiaceae. Red clay soil. Field Char: Shrub 3 m tall. Bark reddish-brown. Twigs peeling. Leaves green, fleshy. Pedicel violet and green. Calyx cup shaped with spiny scales, dark violet. Corolla violet to pale blue, fleshy.
