Habitat:
Mixed dipterocarp forest, associates include
Myrtaceae, Euphorbiaceae, Meliaceae, Annonaceae.
Red clay soil.
Field Char:
Tree 10 m tall, 15 cm dbh. Outer bark dark reddish-
brown, flaking easily. Inner bark orangish-brown.
Wood fibrous. Leaves pale green beneath.
Inflorescence stalk square. Orange gland dots at base
of pedicel. Flower buds minute. Calyx translucent,
glands visible at base. Corolla pale blu
