  • Description

    Pileus 4-7 cm broad, convex to plano-convex, dry, tomentose, becoming finely areolate toward margin with age chestnut brown to bright cinnamon brown. Flesh white, unchanging, up to 1 cm thick, with mild odor and taste. Tubes adnexed, white at first then yellow, unchanging, with concolorous pores up to 1 mm broad. Stipe 2-5 cm broad, 4-10 mm broad, ±equal to slightly broader below, dry, brittle, concolorous with pileus, subpruinose, with white interior soon hollow, with white mycelium at base.
