  • Description

    small tree like shrub; bark greenish to gray, lenticelled, finely checked longitudinally, green immediately beneath the epidermis, the balance fibrous, yellowish white and with a viscid juice; wood soft; leaves subscarious, green and conduplicate upon the upper surface, cinereous beneath; inflorescence green except the whitish stigmas which soon wither to a dark brown; berry cluster ½ inch thick, watery white and very juice, the minutely imbedded seeds greenish to brown.
