    in wet sandy soil packed among rocks.

  • Description

    Shrub, stem 4 inches thick, terete, 10 to 15 feet high, widely branched from below the middle; wood white, very soft, odourless and tasteless; bark brown, lenticelled, green beneath the epidermis, easily stripping; branchlets vey lax, spreading, tips slightly ascending, green; leaves on the larger branches 6 inches long blades, on the ultimate branches averaging much smaller, horizontal, sub-glaucous beneath, sub-chartaceous; flowering receptacles green, the floral parts whitish; fruits strawberry like, succulent, white, the sordid green seeds well imbedded in the receptacles.
