S facing 30-60° slope.
Thicket. Undisturbed.
Bamboo-Rhododendron thicket.
Shrub ca. 2 m tall. Flowers crimson. Anthers yellow
orangish inside. Occasional.
Growing at knoll along road in sun.
In loam on granite.
