dominant with Garcinia and Calophyllum, altimeter elev. 450’ (137
m); colls, centered on coordinates 7° 44’ lat. x 146° 30’ long.
exsiccatae sequence 11375-11381; 15 m subcanopy tree,
unbuttressed; outer bark reddish-brown and marked by
longitudinal cracks, slash orange-brown, sapwood straw, medium
density; branching pattern distichous, twigs slender, terete, pale
brown; leaves distichous, coriaceous, adaxial surface dark green,
abaxially medium green; pedicels green; cupule tessellate and
cream colored; calyx cap acute to subrostrate, falling as a unit;
petals 4, recurved; stamens entirely white.
