Description
Tree branched from below the middle, 10 meters high in copses of dry gulches; ...main branches ascending, the ultimate ones and forming more or less bushy ends of the secondary branches; wood white soft; bark mottled, comparatively smooth or with minute lenticels; leaves very coriaceous and deep green above; figs red with minute yellowish spots, thickest above the middle, in pairs from the leaf axils, when soft nearly black, with a hollow umbilicus whose walls are yellow; bracts prominent of an equal yellow, bark freely bleeding with a sticky milky sap.
