Open granite outcropping amidst sub alpine mixed conifer
forest: Abies lasiocarpa, Pinus contorta, with Senecio,
Lomatium, Beargrass and Eremogone. Growing in granite,
prostrate small shrub, flowers ranging pink to purple,
population mixed pink and lavender, silica taken.
