Description
About 10 to 15 metres high; branches widely spreading thick and rigid; leaves entire or obscurely 8-lobed at the apex rather stiff but sub-scarious, green above, yellowish or pale green beneath, usually recurved and conduplicate on the upper side; leaf and bud bracts 5 inches long, soft, covered with brown hairs; small, black ants in their bases; wood comparatively soft and white; bark grey and brown mottled. with a white very sticky sap.
