Description
Tree 15 meters high, branched above the middle; bark gray and brown mottled, smoothish or with a few large lenticels, rather thick and reddish brown beneath the "skin"; wood hard, heavy, yellow especially towards the center of the 1 foot thick stem; white latex copious, gummy; leaves coriaceous, darker lucid green above, nerves yellowish white, strongly conduplicate on the upper side, its edges wavy; staminate (?) flowers irregularly obovoid, the size of a small hen's egg, yellowish with a white spongy meat on the inside; pistillate heads hard, obovoid mostly, ½ inch thick, greenish.
