Habitat:
Mixed dipterocarp forest, associates include Shorea,
Myrtaceae, Meliaceae. Red clay soil.
Field Char:
Small tree, c. 7 m tall, 6 cm dbh. Outer bark greyish-
brown with white lenticels. Inner bark pinkish-
brown. Leaves coriaceous, pubescence brown along
mid-rib. Flower buds 2 cm diam., bright yellowish-
green.
Notes:
Local name: Sumpit bulu.
