Habitat
Steep gravelly roadbank. About 30 plants seen, some with up to 40 inflorescences. Gray soil, pH ca. 6.5.

Description
Corollas mostly pale to dark red-violet, some more blue-violet; staminode and filaments with sparse white hairs; anthers dark violet, tan along the sutures, abaxial pair ± exserted at mouth. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.
