On roadbanks in Artemisia-Purshia dominated basaltic hills. Abundant.

Description
Corollas blue- to red-violet, tube darker so, throat paler and with darker veins to the lobes within abaxially; staminode/filament tips with sparse white hairs; anthers violet-black, tan along the sutures, abaxial pair ± exserted at mouth; nectar sweetly fragrant. Phenology of specimen: Fertile, Flower.
