On steep, slope of escarpment. With perennial forbs and scattered shrubs. Abundant. Red-brown soil, pH ca. 6.5.

Description
Corollas red-violet, tube darker, throat paler within abaxially; staminode/ filament tips with sparse white hairs; anthers dark violet-black, tan along sutures, abaxial pair ± exserted at mouth; nectar with a sweet fragrance. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
