  • Description

    Small tree. Stem 25 feet high, 10 inches thick: wood moderately soft, reddish toward the center, odorless and tasteless; bark smooth greyish white, branches above the middle, the ultimate ones ascendingly curved; leaves descending, shallowly conduplicate on the upper deeper green and half shining surface; thinly coriaceous or subchartaceous; inflorescence from the uppermost leaf axils, or terminal, ascendingly curved, all the stalks greenish; calyx creamy yellow, the other parts of the odorless flower bright yellow; young fruits pyriform, ½ inch in length.
