  • Description

    bark smooth, whitish gray; limbs widely spreading; the brown numerously lenticelled twigs slender and lax; leaves membranous, in distichous rows, descending, curvingly con-duplicate on the upper shiny green surface, duller beneath, nerves yellowish; inflorescent stalks green, sub-erect; calyx lobes rotately spreading, green; corolla minute, yellowish, erect and forming a sort of a receptacle for the numerous yellowish stamens; ovary, style and especially the stigma green; green fruits 1/4 inch thick, nearly globose or somewhat flattened; "Ewa-arr." wood light, soft, white, odourless and tasteless.
