    Subscandent and sprawling shrub, stems round, green beneath the brown epidermis, densely covered with grayish white lenticels; leaves subdescending, nearly flat, membranous, somewhat paler beneath; inflorescence terminal; the green buds striate; calyx thick, strongly recurved, pale white on the inner surface, soon turning brown; corolla thin, comparatively very small, also pale white; attached to the back of a thick greenish bract; filaments and style whitish; anthers light yellow; stigma green; "Uali".
