Subtropical evergreen broadleaf forest. Disturbed by clearing.
Disturbed secondary forest with open grazed areas along
stream.
Rhizomatous perennial herb. Fruit red. Seeds black.
Occasional.
Growing on bank above trail.
In loam on decomposed granite.
