Description
Small or medium sized tree, 25 feet high with an 8 inch thick stem; wood white, moderately soft, odorless, with a faint sweet taste; bark smooth, brown, grayish on the branchlets; branches mostly above the middle of the stem, widely spreading, the ultimate ones lax and tough; infrutescence suberect, yellowish brown, the fruits of a lighter yellowish gray or green, 2 celled but usually one 1 seed matures; leaves coriaceous, dull deep green above, much lighter green beneath, horizontally spreading.
