Dept, du Sud: Massif de la Hotte: Bwa Formon. Karst hills
S of Morne Formon, along trail we hiked to crest between
Ville Formon and Sou Bwa before returning back to Ville
Formon. Elev. 979 m. Disturbed rak bwa with Phyllanthus
myriophyllus, Clusia clusioides, Rhytidophyllum hystrix,
Turpinia picardae, Mecranium revolutum, Heliconia bihai,
Lantana, Cestrum, Ficus. Only one plant, 4.5 m tall. Sterile
- many leaves w/ brownish gall-like roughenings on lower
surface. Bark tan.

I called this a possible hybrid between Mecranium
haitiense & M. revolutum in 1993. This entity is much more
common than I knew.
