Habitat: Cloud forest, Podocarpus/
Dacrydium elaturn dominated ridge.
Annot. Small tree, without buttresses.
Can reach 60 ft. high. Not common;
height 20 feet, d.b.h. 3 inches. Bark
dark red-brown, horizontally ribbed,
shallowly fissured,»peeling very slight-
ly. Lenticels scattered, raised. Blaze
dull red. Wood orange to yellow. Odour
and exudate absent. Leaves green on
f both surfaces.
