I So. The New York Botanical Garden Plants of U.S.A. Fabaceae Colutea cf. arborescens L. det. M. Nee, 2006 NEW York state, Bronx Co., Bronx, The New York Botanical Garden. 40°51’44”N, 73°52’26”W. alt. 83 ft. Shrub 2.5 m. tall, 8 cm. in diameter, branching from near the base. Fruit light tan, inflated; seeds black. Edge of woods down to the Bronx River by back entrance to the Family Garden, with Fraxinus americana, Quercus rubra, Carya. Likely planted; no other plants of the species seen in the Garden. Voucher for a DNA sample collected for the Forest DNA Barcoding Project; funded by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. Coll.: M.
