N of highway at Aguai, on farm road in heavily agricultural
area, 19 km NW of bridge at Chañé Independencia.
16°49’28”S, 63°18’40”W. alt. 230 m.
Flat area with remnant forest, swamp and now mostly fields
of Zea mays, Saccharum officinarum, Glycine max and
Oryza sativa.
Common in places in grassy roadside, usually at edge of dirt
or where soil disturbed. Less obviously naturalized than no.
56218 Sorghum arundinacea with which it is growing, and
looking more like waife from seeds falling from passing
grain trucks. No sign of intergradation with no. 56218.
