Mountian slope in well-drained sandy loam soil of sandstone. In fall sun on a
moderate eastern slope. Occasional and native. Forest with Nectaropetalum,
Dalbergia. Oxyanthus and Acredocarpus.
Tree up to 5 m high and 30 cm DBH. Petioles 7-8 mm long. Leaves simple,
alternate, midgreen and somewhat glossy, ovate 100-120 x 25-30 mm, leaf
margins entire.
