Floodplain in full sun, well-drained soil of aluvial sandy silt. Native and
occasional. Nama Karoo with Saisola spp, Zygophyllum spp.. Lycium
tetrandrum and Mesembryanthemaceae.
Shrub 2 m high, with white latex, an extensive taproot. Leaves opposite, simple,
linear, 50 x 5 mm, pale green, leaf margins entire. Yellow, trumpet-shaped
flowers in an umbel, corolla-tube 10x3 mm Fruit are paired follicles, 50 x 7
mm.
