11 cerning insects should be accom-
panied by speciniens, if possible,
together-with such data as to habits,
food-plants, etc., as can be conven-
iently acquired. Living Insects may
be sent by mail in tight wooden or
tin boxes, preferably the latter, and
should have with them a supply ot
food sufficient to last during the
journey. If specimens have been
preserved in alcohol, they may be
wrapped in soft paper and should
then be placed in boxes for mailing.
The postage required is one cent per
ounce.
