5A 173 Plants of the Guiana Shield Euphorbiaceae Mabea Guyana, Cuyuni-Mazaruni, Imbaimadai vicinity. Trail running along the Mazaruni River. 0.16 miles East of Mazaruni base camp. 5° 36' 27"N, 60° 13' 41" W Elev. 530 m. Primary, alluvial forest. White sand and sandstone. Eperua and Dicymbe dominant. Small tree, 5 m tall, 5 cm dbh. White latex present. Inflorescence a spike in the axis of leaves. Flowers small, yellow, on long (6 mm) pedicels. Fruit 3-parted with persistent style.
