KAUAI: North slope of Mt. Haupu. Mesic-dry forest dominated by Schinus
terebinthifolia and Psidium cattieianum. Scattered Pandanus
tectoriusindividuals and remnant patches of Psydrax oderata. Ground cover
dominated by Blechnum glandulosum.
Liana, 5 m long. Growing up into canopy of remnant patch of Psydrax
oderate. Milky sap. Leaves opposite to whoried. Flowers orange. Fruit black
and glossy when ripe. Many seedlings in understory.
