East of Mosholu Parkway. West of Enid A. Haupt Conservatory. 40.86333, -73.884722, 30.48 m elev. Cultivated garden bed. Upright shrub to tree, multi-stemmed, 4.5-7.5 meters tall. Heavy suckering from the trunk. Drupes, less than 1 ’ long, bright to deep cherry-red, spherical to tear-drop shaped that hang in clumps. Each fruit hangs from its own stem. Surface of leaves glabrous, underside puberulent. Many petioles had red coloring on their surface while the underside veining of many leaves were also tinged a reddish purple.
