    Glumes narrow-lanceolate about 7" long, short awn-pointed, apparently 5 nerved. Lower flowering-glume about 6" long, narrow, smooth. Palet about 1" shorter, slightly notched at the tip. Awn 8-10" long. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
