Habitat
Deciduous forest with Aesculus, Acer saccharum, Fagus grandfolia. Three is a large patch of Akebia running rampant on an old stone wall near here also.

Description
Tree 8 m tall and ca 20 cm diam; older bark at base of tree becoming brown and scaly, younger bark smooth and light brown; fruit abundantly produced on this tree, smooth, light brown. There are eight mature trees in this immediate vicinity randomly scattered and of various size classses. And there are numerous saplings scattered through the woods for hundreds of meters east and south from here. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
