Shrub to 1*5 feet*
Area of marly lake, mile 5l|* Lake with but little open
water left, this only 2-3 inches deep over marl. In
clumps in water and in low areas surrounding water are
sedges and Triglochin. Behind this a shrub zone with
Myrica, Betula glandulosa, Salix, Potentilia. These
shrubs grow in peaty hummocks below which is marl*
specimens prepared by the formaldehyde method (*ee Rhodora 49: 54-60. 1947)
