Plants of The Republic of Georgia APOCYNACEAE Periploca graeca L. det. M. Khutsishvili, 2002 The Republic of Georgia. Mameuli District.. South of Rustavi and north of border crossing to Armenia known as the "Red Bridge." On peninsula of land between the Mtkvari and the Debeda Rivers. 41° 22.537' N: 45° 4.199' E. Elevation: ca. 288 m. (coordinates and elevation from hand-held GPS; coordinates accurate to within a radius of about 25 m) Flooded forest with Quercus, Crataegus, Carpinus orientalis, Gleditsia, Populus, Comus and many lianas such as Smilax, Hedera, Ligustrum and Lonicera.
