04°18'N, 52°22'W. Elev. 200 to 450 m. Low montane rain
forest on lateritic soil. Tree, 4 m tall, latex white;
calyx greenish-white, corolla tube 3 cm long,
creamish, lobes white. Abundant; vernacular name:
"Mapa".
