alt., mixed seasonal forest on undulating land. Rat ground. Canopy fairly
closed, 15m.
Tree 24m x 20cm dia. Bole 12m, oval, straight for 8m. Branching
ascending. No buttresses. Bark brown, vertical fissures, flaking to reveal
cream layer beneath. Bark 3mm in section; pale brown outer, then
red-brown. Slash 8mm, red-brown. Copious white exudate, becomes
sticky. Frs. terminal, green "bananas". White latex used as plaster for
broken bones. Rub it on to a cloth and apply to break. Used for kidney
complaints. Dry bark and phloem in sun for 1 day. Soak in alcohol and
drink twice per day
