Perennial graminoid; spikelet 3 mm long; abaxial leaf pale green;
stem glabrous, shiny, dark green. In association with Rubus
flagellaris, Carya glabra, Solidago odora, S. rugosa, Panicum
virgatum, Euthamia graminifolia, Quercus velutina, Gaylussacia
baccata, and Chimaphila maculosa.
