Tree, Ht 4m, DBH 10cm, tortuous, bark
corky, sometimes 1/3 diameter of stem,
cambial layers and pith with reddish
resin, green branches with latex, leaves
persistent & leathery, produced prior to
flowering, clustered at tips, apical growth
of stems limited to 5-10cm annually
perianth yellowish or green. Wooded
savanna, common.
