Nearly undisturbed subtropical forest
dominated by Anadenanthera colubrina,
very flat, the soil fine sandy and silty.
Tree 7 m tall, 18 cm diam.; bark deeply fiirrowed
Leaves dry slowly and turn olive-brown no\matter
how efficient the presses. Flowers lightly
fragrant, yellow-green; fruit green, opening
while in the press.
