APOCYNACEAE
Herbs to 5 ft tall, abundant, flowers white, mostly
finished flowering, stems red. Growing in a disturbed,
dry, nearly level meadow in calcareous clay-loam
(Cosad loamy fine sand; sandy over clayey, mixed,
superactive, nonacid, mesic Aquic Udorthents).
Growing with Artemisia vulgaris, Aster pilosus (?),
Centaurea maculosa, Centaurium erythraea, Daucus
carota, Dipsacus fullonum, Erigeron annuus, Euthamia
graminifolia, Fraxinus pensylvanica, Hypericum
perforatum, Mentha spicata (?), Plantago lanceolata,
Poa sp., Populus deltoides, Rudbeckia hirta, Solidago
canadensis, Toxicodendron radicans & Vitis sp. To the
SE side of the intersection of Rt. 386 (Coldwater Road)
& a railroad, about 0.2mi N. of the intersection with
Westside Drive. Coldwater, Monroe Co. Elev. around
555ft. 43°07' 45.7"N, 11° 44' 08.1"W. UTM 18
