Gypseous day knolls (hollow sounding here and there), open,
sparsely vegetated, with Acacia neoreinicosa, Kiameiia parrifolia, Fouquieria,
Allionia incarnata, Anulocaulis leiosolenus, Yucca torreyi, Mentzelia, Nerisjrrenia
camporum, N. lineaiifolia, Astiolepis cochisensis, Selinocarpus lanceolatus.
Limb white, diameter 1.8-3 cm, + consistent on any one plant,
varying between plants; base of tube pale lead blue-violet; producing
sweet "jasmine" odor detectable from many meters away.
