Limestone rubble over gypseous clay knolls (hollow sounding
here and there), open, sparsely vegetated, with Acacia neovemicosa,
Krameria parvifolia, Fouquieria, Allionia incamata, Anulocaulis
leiosolenus, Yucca torreyi, Mentzelia, Netisyrenia camporum, N.
linearifolia, Astrolepis cochisensis, Selinocarpus lanceolatus.
Round, dense clumps, to 3 dm diam.
