4662 Amsonia hirtella Standi.
SOCORRO CO., about 7 miles E of San Antonio
on U.S. Highway 380 on bluffs S of highway,
central E edge Sec. 7, T5S, R2E (San
Antonio 15 min. quad.), on all aspects of
silty (probably also somewhat gypseous)
eroded bluffs with broken limestone, with
Larrea, Mentzelia (jemezensis?).
Corolla limb to (2-) 3 cm. diameter,
white; tube dull, but iridescent, blue-
violet; 1—several hundred stems per clump.
Each stem in series represents separate plant.
