thick, wiih soft whitish tasteless but slightly nauseating
wood covered with thick brown coarsely checked bark; contain»
ing an abundance of latex; branches numerous at the top,
forming dense interlaced masses, the free ends half droop-
ing; leaves horizontally recurved, coriaceous, rich green
above, yellowish green beneath; verticillate; stalks of the
infruteOenc® dark green; th e beaded fruits green, yellow-
ish, and when mature dull or dark purplish, and slightly
